NOTE: This section of the official National Park Service site appears to have been scrubbed in the same poorly coded way as the home page. However, the “All Are Welcome” Lesson Plan has not been changed as of February 17, 2025, likely because it is under a different subdomain from the Stonewall National Monument site.

Program Offerings

Field Trips - Onsite Group Tours

Bring your group or class to Christopher Park for an immersive program exploring the history and legacy of the Stonewall Uprising through the historic streets of Greenwich Village. Before the 1960s, almost everything about living openly as a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ+) person was illegal, but the events at the Stonewall Inn sparked fresh momentum for the LGBTQ+ civil rights movement!

Length: 45 minutes (adjustments can be made for your group's needs).

Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible. This tour will be outside with uneven walkways, significant sensory triggers, and limited restroom facilities.

Cost: Free of Charge

Virtual Distance Learning Programs

Join a Stonewall National Monument park ranger for a virtual program exploring the dramatic history of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising and its lasting impact on the LGBTQ+ civil rights movement, as well as the complexities of caring for and interpreting a historic site with a story still actively unfolding.

Length: 45 minutes (adjustments can be made for your group's needs).

Accessibility: Please let us know if there are accessibility concerns.

Cost: Free of Charge
